The Arsenal striker, 25, was arrested by police on Monday over damage to the building in the Bushey area where he lives.

On his Instagram account he said he had accidentally damaged a stuck door when he tried to force it.

Mr Bendtner was given a caution by Hertfordshire Police.

"On Saturday night after our win against Southampton I went out with my family and friends for dinner," he wrote.

"After our dinner we all wanted a night swim in my gym so we changed to shorts and brought towels down.

"As we arrived at the gym my key fob changed the colour from red (locked) to green (open) but the door remained closed.

"We thought the door was stuck so we tried to open it and it caused some damage. I apologise for any inconvenience for my neighbours and I have paid in full.

"We had no part in damaging anything else in the building. The matter is closed with the police, and my focus is on tonight's match."

The caution Mr Bendtner received means he will not have to go to court.

In a statement, Hertfordshire Police said: "A 25-year-old man from Bushey has been cautioned for criminal damage and is no longer in custody."

A spokesman for Arsenal said the club did not comment on players' private matters.

"However, we do expect the highest standards to be maintained on and off the pitch and will be reminding Nicklas of this," he added.

The Denmark international has scored 45 goals since making his debut for Arsenal in the 2005-06 season.

In June 2012, Bendtner was handed a one-match ban and fined 100,000 euros by Uefa for lowering his shorts after scoring twice in his country's European Championship defeat to Portugal.

enormous 13lbs 10oz.
The baby - which is twice the weight of an average baby born
in China weighs more than six bags of sugar.
The 27-year-old mum said it was a diet rich in milk, eggs and
fruit which led to her giving birth to such a large child.
Doctors in Shanghai said the mum spent lots of time in bed
during her pregnancy, Sky News reported. They also said she
ate more than usual, causing her to gain weight quickly.
Speaking to Chinese state TV, the mum said: I drink one glass
of milk (and) eat an egg every day.
That's a must since I became pregnant. I also ate a lot of fruit.
Although the baby is much bigger than average, it is not the
biggest ever born in China.
Chun Chun, from Xinxiang city, weighed a massive 15lbs 8oz
when born in 2012.

SUU AGREES TO SUSPEND STRIKE AFTER SECRET MEETING, GIVES JONATHAN THREE CONDITIONS

University lecturers in Nigeria have agreed to end
the five-month old strike by the Academic Staff
Union of Universities, ASUU, if the federal
government agrees to three conditions, according
to the Nigerian Eye.
The three conditions are expected to be made
known to President Goodluck Jonathan today,
after which the strike will be called off and if an
agreement is reached.
Although, ASUU has forbidden its local chapters
and zonal chairmen from talking to the press until
the end of the session. A source, who was part of
the ASUU session, which was held at Mambayya
House in Kano, however revealed the conditions
as:
1. Commitment from the President that any
review or reconsideration or renegotiation of the
2009 Agreement will not substantially affect the
pact which is the cause of the ongoing strike;
2. Immediate payment of all outstanding salary
arrears and allowances of varsity teachers
without victimization; and
3. A written commitment from the President that
the Federal Government will commit N225 billion
annually to the funding of universities for the
next four years.
According to the source, “Our leaders are meeting
with the President on Monday to table these
conditions. Once the President accepts these three
terms, the strike will be called off.
“In principle, members voted about 60-40 per cent
to call off the strike, but they added a caveat –
that ASUU leaders should extract a commitment
(signed and sealed) from the President.”
“It became imperative for ASUU to makes these
demands, as it became obvious that the FG wanted
the 2009 Agreement to be renegotiated.
“If ASUU had accepted to renegotiate the entire
Agreement, it means there will be no basis for the
ongoing strike. The worst that can happen is either
having the abridged version of the 2009
Agreement or a phased implementation of the
document,” the source added.
He also added that the conditions are not just
three, but the fourth is “personal” to ASUU.

on the corpse, which
confirmed that the late
federal lawmaker, Hon
Nomiye, had slept with a
woman shortly before his demise.

interrogators that she had
actually slept with him and
had helped him to clean up, following which he went
into the bathroom, where
he suddenly fell and began
to vomit blood.
Police investigators who
inspected the lawmaker’s
house had succeeded in
recovering some items,
including a bottle of water,
which the deceased lawmaker had drank from,
some tissue papers and the
clothes the man had worn
earlier in the day. When Daily Trust visited the
banker’s private residence
located at Kado Estate in
Abuja, two of her friends,
who spoke on the condition
of anonymity, said she and Hon Nomiye were friends.
Investigation revealed that
although late Nomiye was
married, his wife and kids
do not live with him in
Abuja.

Four floors of the twenty-five storey high rise great Nigeria insurance building in lagos island is critically on fire since 5:30 am and still burning at my time of publishing this.  Some eyewitness said the fire came up as a result of electric spark in the building due to high voltage of electricity.

     Although no casualty was recorded but items worth hundreds of million naira as been consumed by the fire. Both the state and the federal firefighters are yet to stop the fire nor neutralize the power of the fire rather the fire is consuming theirs multiple firefighter truck came but all in no avail

   Even with this some notorious boys still engage in looting one of the new millennium banks affected by the fire, but they are contained by the R.R.S (rapid response squad).

Police Officer Casey Kohlmeier and his canine, Draco, were killed when their patrol car was struck by a drunk driver

Police Officer Casey Kohlmeier and his canine, Draco, were killed when their patrol car was struck by a drunk driver on I-55, near mile 201, at approximately 9:30 pm.

Their patrol car was in a median turnaround when another vehicle left the northbound lanes and struck them during a period of heavy rain. Officer Kohlmeier and K9 Draco both suffered fatal injuries in the collision. The driver of the other vehicle survived and was subsequently charged with aggravated DUI.

Officer Kohlmeier was a U.S. Air Force veteran and had served with the Pontiac Police Department for six years. He was assigned to the Livingston County Proactive Unit. He is survived by his parents.

Brazil and Germany draft anti-spy resolution at UN

Germany and Brazil have asked the UN General Assembly to adopt a draft resolution calling for the right to privacy in the digital age.

The draft calls for an end to excessive electronic surveillance, noting that the illegal collection of personal data "constitutes a highly intrusive act".

Brazil and Germany have both been angered by allegations of large-scale US surveillance.

The allegations stem from revelations by US whistleblower Edward Snowden.
'Deeply concerned'

The draft resolution, which does not name individual countries, will be debated by a General Assembly committee focusing on human rights.

The draft calls on the 193-member assembly to declare that it is "deeply concerned at human rights violations and abuses that may result from the conduct of any surveillance of communications".

This includes "extraterritorial surveillance of communications, their interception, as well as the collection of personal data, in particular massive surveillance, interception and data collection".

While General Assembly resolutions are non-binding, they can carry significant moral and political weight if they win enough support.

The draft follows allegations that the US has been eavesdropping on foreign leaders, including Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, angering US allies in Europe and Asia.

Disclosures about the extent of US spying activity came from documents leaked to media organisations by former National Security Agency (NSA) contractor Edward Snowden.

The German government earlier said it was keen to speak directly to Mr Snowden about US surveillance activities, after it was revealed the NSA had been bugging Mrs Merkel's mobile phone for years.

Mr Snowden had earlier met German Green MP Hans-Christian Stroebele in Moscow and expressed his readiness to brief the German government on NSA spying.

His lawyers said any meeting with German investigators would take place in Moscow, not Germany.

The German chancellor's anxiety about US spying overshadowed last week's EU summit, when she remarked with irritation that spying on friends is "really not on".

Ms Rousseff was angered by revelations that the NSA had hacked the computer network of Brazil's state-run oil company Petrobras to collect data on emails and telephone calls.

US Secretary of State John Kerry acknowledged on Friday that in some cases, US spying had gone too far.

He said he would work with President Barack Obama to prevent further inappropriate actions by the NSA.

Mr Snowden, 30, fled to Russia in June after leaking details of far-reaching US telephone and internet espionage. He has temporary asylum, allowing him to live in Russia, until July 2014.

Mr Snowden's lawyer said his client had started work on Friday for a major private website in Russia but did not disclose which site, citing security concerns.

The scale of the alleged US espionage has provoked international concern and calls for tighter supervision.

Asian countries have also protested at claims that Australia was involved in a US-led spy network, with Indonesia summoning the Australian ambassador to Jakarta.

The infrared portrait shows the Witch Head nebula, named after its resemblance to the profile of a wicked witch. Astronomers say the billowy clouds of the nebula, where baby stars are brewing, are being lit up by massive stars. Dust in the cloud is being hit with starlight, causing it to glow with infrared light, which was picked up by WISE's detectors. The Witch Head nebula is estimated to be hundreds of light-years away in the Orion constellation, just off the famous hunter's knee.

WISE was recently "awakened" to hunt for asteroids in a program called NEOWISE. The reactivation came after the spacecraft was put into hibernation in 2011, when it completed two full scans of the sky, as planned.
